- Jude is married to actress Sadie Frost and the couple have a son, Rafferty and a daughter, Iris along with Sadie's son from a previous marriage, Finley.
- He is from London and yes, he was named after the Beatles hit "Hey Jude."
- He began his screen acting when he was 17 on the soap opera, 'Families.'
- Jude's acting success began on the stage and continued through the 90's. He won several awards, including a Tony nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor for the Broadway play "Indiscretions" in 1995.
- Jude has two tattoos - one is a Rorschach butterfly and the second one reads: "You came along to turn on everyone, Sexy Sadie," a line from the Beatles tune 'Sexy Sadie.'
- Jude and his wife started a film production company with Jonny Lee Miller and Ewan McGregor. Natural Nylon is a company with a mission to get projects developed that may be overlooked and never produced.
- Jude dropped out of high school shortly before graduation to take a role on a British soap opera.
- Jude was named in tribute to the novel Jude The Obscure, by Thomas Hardy.
- Jude is good friends with Jonny Lee Miller. The two actors met at the National Youth Music Theater when Jude was 13 years old.

Jude took tap, ballet and kabuki for three months to prepare for less than a minute of on-screen dancing for A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
The dedicated actor learned how to play the saxophone and how to sail to play Dickie Greenleaf as best as he could in The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Gattaca (1997)
Jude wouldn't walk the during the entire filming of Gattaca, in which he played a wheelchair-bound alcoholic.
